At Mictel Hillpress we offer our clients bespoke electrical engineering, manufacturing and contracting services.

We have a broad range of services, including specialist manufacturing to enable clients to single source their requirements. This provides clients with a seamless service.

We provide in house design, manufacture and testing of electrical distribution and control panels of all sizes from small batch produced panels through process control panels to motor control centres. We also undertake site wiring installations, including design and final inspection and testing.

We are also Dorman Smith Approved Assemblers for Distribution Panels.

The company has been trading since 1967 and we have been Approved Contractors on the list of the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors since 1969 (NICEIC). We also hold Part P registration.

History

Mictel was started in 1967 by Terry & Mick, both ex electricity board electricians. Initially works were in the domestic sector, but soon evolved to works for local authorities and construction companies, and NICEIC registration was achieved in 1971.

Throughout the 70's and 80's the company expanded to include a mechanical division and a partner construction company. Work continued in the traditional areas and also moved in to commercial and industrial sectors.

Growth in specialist commercial and industrial sectors lead to us providing national coverage.

In the early 90's the business of Hillpress was acquired. The control panel manufacturing services ideally complemented our specialist installation services.

Specialist works, as well as general commercial and industrial projects, continue to this day and we are now one of the leading companies in our specialist field providing electrical services to the refrigeration industry.

In 2004 we achieved registration with NQA for our BS EN ISO9001 Quality Assurance System, which covers all our activities, products and services.

We give each client a bespoke service to suit their actual needs.
